Bachelorette 2012 eliminated 6 men in episode 1 tonight. Tonight's episode,kicked off with Emily's backstory. Then they showed snippets of all the Bachelors that are showing up this year. Next,Emily sat down and talked with host Chris Harrison to talk about why she's there,and how she really wants to find her perfect man,and blah,blah,blah. After a break, Emily met all the bachelors,one by one,as they came out of the limo. One of the guys named Kalon arrived on a helicopter,and the other guys definitely weren't fans of that. Next, Emily chatted with a few of the guys at the opening cocktail party. One of the guys named Doug kept playing the "I'm a parent too" card extremely hard. He brought a note from his child and everything. It worked too,because she ended up giving Doug the first impression rose. After the final break,Emily passed out her first set of roses. Chris, Ryan,Kalon, Arie,Charlie,Jeff,Nate,Shawn, Kyle ,Joe,Aaron,Alejandro ,John,Alessandro,Michael,Stevie,Tony, and Travis all got roses to go along with Doug,who got an early rose. The rest of the guys got shown the door,so they're totally irrelevant. Don't even worry about them. They'll be fine.
