We're less than a month away from everyone's favorite cinematic-themed awards show — the 2012 MTV Movie Awards — and with only weeks away from our June 3 show date, you can expect special announcements to start flooding in with teases of this year's special guests, presenters and pre-show moments.

Speaking of pre-show moments, we're pleased to announce that the star-studded cast of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" will be on hand to help present the trailer for the highly anticipated film during our pre-show. The lovely Emma Watson helped break the news via her Twitter account on Wednesday (May 16).

"#PerksOfBeingAWallflower Trailer is going to show at the @MTVMovieAwards pre-show!" Watson wrote. "@LoganLerman and Ezra and I will be there to present. : )"

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is based on the popular Stephen Chbosky novel of the same name. The story revolves around introverted high school freshman Charlie (Logan Lerman) as he slowly comes out of his shell thanks to new friends, siblings Sam (Emma Watson) and Patrick (Ezra Miller).

Watson will not only be attending the show as part of the "Perks" trailer presentation, but will also be representing "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2," for which the lovely actress is a double nominee in the Best Female Performance and Best Kiss categories. "Deathly Hallows, Part 2" has a chance to take home major Movie Awards gold given their six nominations but faces fierce competition from "The Hunger Games" and "Bridesmaids," which are the most-nominated movies this year.

The MTV Movie Awards will air live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, on Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.

Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! The 21st annual MTV Movie Awards air live Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET.

Why 'The X Factor' Should Try Playing Hard-To-Get

The FOX show's very long and public search for judges is making it look desperate.
By John Mitchell

<P>On Wednesday (May 2) we learned that <a href="/news/articles/1684289/demi-lovato-x-factor-judge-miley-cyrus.jhtml">Demi Lovato, Avril Lavigne and Miley Cyrus</a> are all being courted as possible replacements for Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger on "The X Factor" judging panel.</P><P>But don't get your knickers in a twist &#8212; "The X Factor" originated in Britain, after all &#8212; <a href="/news/articles/1680782/britney-spears-x-factor-judge-offer.jhtml">Britney Spears is reportedly</a> still in the game too, though reports that she "insisted on various perks that have bogged down negotiations" are floating around.</P><P>So to be clear, Britney might still be in, Demi is close to a deal and Miley and Avril are on the table. A few months ago, we could have replaced the Demi with Janet Jackson and Miley with Mariah Carey. And prior to her tragic passing in February, Whitney Houston was also being considered for the panel, according to remaining judges <a href="/news/articles/1679472/american-idol-voice-x-factor-simon-cowell.jhtml"> L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell</a>.</P><P>Never before has the casting process for a reality television show judge been so exhaustingly long and public. Sure, before Jennifer Lopez signed on to "American Idol" there were rumors that she was being pursued, but no public statements were made until she had signed on the dotted line. And while the constant stream of potential candidates being leaked to the press or talked about openly by Reid or Cowell may itself be a negotiation technique &#8212; most likely to try to ambush Spears into signing on for fear of being replaced &#8212; is also doing something <i>very</i> specific to the troubled signing competition.</P><P>It is making "The X Factor" look desperate. <i>Really</i> desperate.</P><P>With the FOX upfronts just two weeks away and filming on the production scheduled to begin early this summer, it's not exactly encouraging that the show cannot secure above-the-title talent. An upfront is a showcase hosted at the start of important advertising sales periods by network executives, and they are attended by the press and, more importantly, major advertisers.</P><P>"The X Factor" is a costly show for FOX, and the deal on the table for Spears, <a href="/news/articles/1682881/britney-spears-x-factor-deal.jhtml">reported to be $15 million per season</a>, certainly isn't bringing the budget down. Watching the never-ending parade of potential judges unfurl and then walk away &#8212; and keep in mind that the show is also casting about for two hosts to replace Steve Jones &#8212; cannot be serving the show well with eagle-eyed advertisers watching closely to see where their money will be best spent.</P><P>Conducting contract negations so publicly is always a risky endeavor, but in this specific case, "The X Factor" has backed itself into a corner. The show looked silly when talks with music legends Jackson and Carey fell through after <a href="http://newsroom.mtv.com/2012/02/17/janet-jackson-x-factor-rumors-perfect-fit-for-show/">so much public discussion</a>, and in making the details of Spears' deal public and then failing to (at this point) lock her in, execs at "The X Factor" look borderline inept.</P><P>There's been some discussion that by tossing Miley, Avril and Demi's names into the ring, the show is trying to make Spears seem replaceable and get her to back down on her alleged "various perks."</P><P>It's a dirty way to conduct business and ultimately doesn't speak well of what is going on behind the scenes in the show's search for its new panelists. If that is indeed the case, it's like the show is grasping at straws. And that's not the best look when you are walking into the FOX upfronts seeking advertisers on the heels of an underperforming first season.</p>

My Week With Kristen: 'Snow White,' Jet Lag And U.K. Adventure

MTV's Josh Horowitz heads to the English countryside to hang with KStew, Charlize and a few randy goats.
By Josh Horowitz

Kristen Stewart as "Snow White"
Photo: Universal

"Snow White and the Huntsman" opens June 1. What follows is an account of my travels to the U.K. to catch up with the cast — Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth and more — in the English countryside and at the movie's world premiere in Leicester Square in London.

Thursday, May 10
It's late and I'm tired. But that's a good thing because the goal is to sleep for a decent portion of the redeye from New York City to London. That said, I'm not great at falling asleep on planes. I tend to overcompensate by loading up with every magazine known to man and paperbacks I'll never read. Tonight I've got some soft-core porn in my carry-on in the form of "50 Shades of Grey." I swear it's for a good cause (an upcoming bit we're working on), but it doesn't make me feel any less embarrassed.

Friday, May 11
I'm in Sussex and if you pointed a gun to my head asking me where that appears on a map, I'd be a goner. High on the list of enviable things about my job are trips like this. But I'm excellent at squandering culturally edifying opportunities. So yes, I'm kinda sorta only casually noticing the random sheep and gorgeous greenery that lines the English countryside today. Also, remember the sleep-on-the-plane strategy? That didn't work out. Three-hour afternoon naps are cool, right?

Saturday, May 12
It's the big day. A gaggle of industry colleagues and I journey to Arundel Castle near where the studio folks have decided to set up shop for the interviews. It's a gorgeous day and the cast couldn't be cooler. Everyone remarks that Kristen is in great form today, and having interviewed her frequently in the past, I agree. Maybe it's the movie (she's deservedly proud of it), maybe it's maturity or her mood. Whatever the reason, she's easy to laugh and kick back during our time together. And yes, "50 Shades of Grey" came up. In fact Kristen mentioned how creeped out she is by seeing people reading it on planes. ... I choose not to mention my choice of reading material on the flight over.

The rest of the interviews are truly fun. I learn a couple hours after chatting with Chris Hemsworth that he'd become a dad just the day before. Charlize takes a break from her interviews to watch nearby goats frolicking. Or was it something dirtier? Not sure. Later that day, the journalists grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant. We spot a peacock, Kristen herself ... and maybe even a high-profile friend of hers. But that would be gossiping.

Sunday, May 13
It's another travel day as I head back to London for the big world premiere on Monday night (May 14). As a born and bred New Yorker, London is familiar to me in all its hustle and bustle and, unfortunately, its maddening traffic. But at least there's time to wander about a bit. No complaints.

Monday, May 14
Leicester Square ain't what it used to be: Universal has transformed it into a pretty awesome forest straight out of the film. But the real attention-grabber is probably Charlize's barely-there dress. I'm a journalist. It is my duty to look closely at these things. As for Snow herself, Kristen is all smiles in a beautiful dress. And yes, sneakers, of course, though she insisted it was only because of her recent "Breaking Dawn" re-shoots injury.

Meanwhile, just as the red carpet is wrapping, I discover a new man-crush in Ray Winstone (one of the dwarves in the film) — all swagger and style and yeah, he's smoking (OK, that part's not to be admired) but. ... Back in my hotel room now and it's all over but the late-night room service. Tomorrow I fly home. And this time by the way, I'm packing "50 Shades of Grey" deep in the luggage.

Check out everything we've got on "Snow White and the Huntsman."

Twilight’s Kristen Stewart Practices Flipping Off Paparazzi With Charlize Theron,New Clip

Twilight's Kristen Stewart practices flipping off paparazzi with Charlize Theron, new clip. Recently, this new video (below) came out with Twilight Saga starlet Kristen Stewart, doing some funny press work with her evil queen co-star Charlize Theron, and at one point, they gave their best "flipping off the paparazzi" impression. As we all know,Kristen has grown quite adept at that particular skill, and she didn't slack off in this video. She also jokes around about wanting to make out with Charlize at one point. Then Charlize gave her a cute, little, peck on the cheek. It was so adorable, and it was nice to see Kristen really loosen up and have a good time. Check it out, below. In related news, they're both in Berlin,Germany today, promoting the new SWATH film,so they're definitely keeping quite busy. Stay tuned.

Eminem Puts 'Southpaw' Flick On Back Burner

'He's focusing on his music right now,' a rep for Detroit MC confirms of delay on boxing movie.
By Rob Markman

<P>It's been almost 10 years since fans saw <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/eminem/artist.jhtml">Eminem</a> in his first big-time movie role, but they'll have to wait a little bit longer to catch him the second time around.</P><P>The rapper has long been signed on to star in <a href="/news/articles/1672939/eminem-southpaw.jhtml">"Southpaw,"</a> a gritty drama about a boxer who tries to mount a comeback in life and in the ring, but it is now being reported that Em will put the flick on the backburner.</P><P>"He's focusing on his music right now, so while he's doing that, while he's in that space, he wanted to put this on hold for the time being," Eminem's rep Dennis Dennehy told <a href="http://www.freep.com/article/20120508/ENT01/120508094/Eminem-puts-movie-role-hold-focus-music"_blank"> the <i>Detroit Free Press</i></a> this week.</P><P>In November Em's <a href="http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/213724/moviemain.jhtml">"8 Mile"</a> will turn 10 years old. The film was both a commercial and critical success, and while Marshall has gone on to make cameos in 2009's "Funny People" and on the wildly popular HBO series "Entourage," he has yet to return to the big or small screen as a leading man.</P><P>The film's original distributor, DreamWorks, shelved the boxing project last August, but in October it was reported that Sony Pictures had picked up the flick, which will be made by MGM and directed by Antoine Fuqua ("Training Day," "Brooklyn's Finest").</P><P>The good news is that when the <i>Recovery</i> rapper is ready to dive into production, he won't have to travel far from his native Detroit to do it. "What I'm told is when the film does get made, the plan is that the bulk of it will be shot in Michigan. That was always the understanding," said Dennehy.</P><P><i>Are you looking forward to seeing Eminem on the big screen again? Tell us in the comments!</i></P><P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/photos/?fid=1617615"><img src="http://www.mtv.com/news/photos/s/spotted/banner/spotted.jpg"></a></p>

'The Voice': Surprise Exits And A Maroon 5 Debut

Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton hit the stage with their teams, while Maroon 5 premiered 'Payfone' with Wiz Khalifa.
By John Mitchell

<P>Things were shaken up Monday night (April 16) on "The Voice" with the surprise introduction of "instant eliminations," a new rule forcing each judge to send one of their team members home at the end of the episode. The first judges forced to send one of their own packing were <a href="/music/artist/aguilera_christina/artist.jhtml">Christina Aguilera</a> and <a href="/music/artist/shelton_blake/artist.jhtml">Blake Shelton</a>, whose teams took the stage Monday.</P><P>An additional member of each team will be voted off by the public on Tuesday.</P><P>Each of the superstar judges &#8212; with the notable exception of <a href="/music/artist/cee_lo/artist.jhtml">Cee Lo Green</a> &#8212; also hit the stage to perform, with Levine's band <a href="/music/artist/maroon_5/artist.jhtml">Maroon 5</a> even debuting a new song with <a href="/music/artist/wiz_khalifa/artist.jhtml">Wiz Khalifa</a>.</P><P><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:759583/cp~vid%3D759583%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A759583" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></P><P>First to hit the stage was teenage country girl RaeLynn. Before performing, she and her coach Blake bonded over being "real country." I'm a real country artist," RaeLynn boasted, and Blake suited her up with the perfect song, hitmaker Jason Aldean's "She's Country." RaeLynn's performance of the song won over all the judges.</P><P>"Man, I'm gonna say, you make me want to sing country," Christina championed. But Blake had the biggest words of praise. "This is the most proud moment I've had of any person on my team," Blake said of RaeLynn's performance.</P><P>Next up was fan and judge favorite Jesse Campbell, who delivered an expectedly excellent rendition of Beyonc&#233;'s "Halo." More interesting, though, was Team Blake rock-belter Jordis Unga's singing of sensitive singer/songwriter Sara Evans' "Stronger." Wearing a ball gown instead of her usual leather, Unga showed off an emotional side we haven't seen so far in the competition.</P><P>Christina and her team then went out on a fieldtrip to Los Angeles' Crenshaw High School for a little bit of giving back to the school's choir, which has done its share of community service, and giving them a chance to perform Christina's hit "Fighter" with Team Xtina and the diva herself. The performance itself was pretty wild. Christina entered in a country-western bustiatard (our new term for when you combine a bustier and a leotard) before the rest of her team and the Crenshaw choir joined her onstage. Of course, she sent her sexy, cowboy-hat-wearing man-candy dancers straight over to Blake, who's been complaining about the abundance of guy flesh during performances in the last few episodes. There was smoke and flashing lights. The whole thing was just as over-the-top as anyone could hope for.</P><P>In a complete change of pace, Team Xtina's Ashley De La Rosa performed earlier-in-the-season mentor Jewel's "Foolish Games" reimagined as an alt-rock song. The judges all applauded Christina's decision earlier to save De La Rosa from elimination, saying that all her best virtues as a performer shone through in her performance.</P><P>It was a big night for the judges taking the stage, but Levine one-upped Aguilera by premiering a new song &#8212; Maroon 5 featuring Wiz Khalifa's "Payfone." An upbeat pop number with catchy lyrics, a SoCal feel and a guest rap from Khalifa, the song is sure hit, just like the band's last "Voice"-premiered jam "Moves Like Jagger" featuring fellow judge Aguilera.</P><P>The show must not have gotten our memo last week about backing off the Adele numbers and featured yet another, this time "Set Fire to the Rain," from Team Blake's Erin Willett." Blake rationalized that Willett was an exception because he felt she was the "only person in the competition who could really do it justice"</P><P>Team Christina's Lindsey Pavao (who apparently is the show's most-downloaded singer on iTunes) went big at first, planning a medley of Rihanna's pop bangers "S&M" and "We Found Love" but was intimidated by how far the music was outside her comfort zone, so she backed down into a slowed-down take on Katy Perry's "Part of Me" that better suited her unique voice (but was also a <I>super</I> safe choice).</P><P>(Cee Lo had a bit of gaffe here, admitting that he'd never heard Perry's song.)</P><P>Ever-reliable, Shelton picked "Heartache Tonight" by the Eagles for his team's joint performance, and they blew everyone away. Opening with the team seated on sound equipment and showcasing everyone perfectly, the simple performance was the polar opposite of Team Christina's earlier in the night.</P><P>Blake and Christina are the yin and yang of "The Voice," but that's part of what makes the show so much fun.</P><P>Blake was effusive with praise for his next team member to step into the ring, Jermaine Paul singing "Look at Me Now," and the judges were divided over how they felt classically trained Chris Mann handled Coldplay's "Viva la Vida." His mentor, Christina, applauded him for stepping out of his comfort zone, but Adam wasn't sure how well his more opera-tuned voice connected to the song.</P><P>But one team member had to go, and for tonight at least, it was all up to Aguilera and Shelton.</P><P>Aguilera was up first with the hard choice and made a surprise decision (to say the least), sending home Jesse Campbell. At this point in the competition, Campbell had been a front-runner.</P><P>Blake's choice was another surprise: He sent home rocker Jordis, whom he saved during the first live rounds.</P><P><i>What did you think of Christina's decision to send home Jesse Campbell and Blake's choice to send home Jordis? Let us know in the comments below!</i></P><P><center><a href="http://www.mtv.com/photos/?fid=1617615"><img src="http://www.mtv.com/news/photos/s/spotted/banner/spotted.jpg"></a></center></p>
