Ashlee Simpson Moves In With Sister Jessica During Pete Wentz Divorce

Sources say the actress/singer has been leaning on her sister for comfort.

<P>Last week, <a href="/news/articles/1657578/ashlee-simpson-pete-wentz-divorce-timeline.jhtml">Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz</a> shocked fans when they announced that they were divorcing. While the couple had been plagued by marital woes for a good chunk of their nearly three years as a couple, they put on a brave face publicly. </P><P> </P><P><b><big>Click for photos of <a href="http://www.mtv.com/photos/?fid=1657583">Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz</a>the way they were.</b></big> </P><P> </P><P>New details about the split are now surfacing. According to an <a href="http://www.intouchweekly.com/2011/02/ashlee_jessica.php" target="_blank"><i>In Touch</i></a> source, Simpson sought comfort in her family, specifically older sister Jessica, when she and her rocker husband were on the rocks. </P><P> </P><P>"Leaving Pete was tough for Ashlee and she needed to be with her family," the source said. "Jessica told her she and Bronx were welcome to stay with them until she was ready to find a place of her own." </P><P> </P><P>Simpson has been staying with Jessica and her fianc&#233;, Eric Johnson, during the difficult time. Ashlee and Pete's son, Bronx, has also been with her. "There have been a lot of family dinners and lots of praying," the source further explained. "Ashlee couldn't have asked for better support." </P><P> </P><P>The couple wed in May 2008 and had their son in November of that same year. Both Wentz and Simpson have remained under the radar since they revealed that they were separating last week. </P><P> </P><P>"After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce," reads the <a href="/news/articles/1657572/ashlee-simpson-pete-wentz-divorce.jhtml">joint statement from Simpson and Wentz</a> announcing their split. "We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son, Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives."</p>
